Think of this blog as a screening and scanning device for news, events & analysis.
Yes, the big news of the day will be present, however FOOTNOTED will also try to highlight the other stories. Those stories that may not receive much attention by mainstream media, but should.
Because of location, there will inevitably be a strong focus on New York City, but ultimately substance should overcome geography.

A few things about me:
1) I’m a journalism student at the fabulous CUNY Graduate School of Journalism (you will also find some of my assignments on this blog, for which I apologize in advance).
2) I’m a Puertorrican expat living in New York City since the winter of 2000.
3) I’ve been a Republican and a Democrat, but these days I’m mostly confused (although probably a bit left of center).
